Description

After the Civil War, former Union colonel John Thomas (John Wayne) leads his men across the border to deliver 3,000 horses to Mexico, while ex-Confederate colonel James Langdon (Rock Hudson) takes a group of displaced Southern settlers to the country to make a new home for themselves. After the two groups meet and a drunken brawl breaks out, Thomas tries to save Langson and his group when they are taken hostage a by a Mexican military man.
