Description

Army deserter Jean (Jean Gabin) fled to the seedy docks of Le Havre in search of a new life, and found love at first sight with young runaway Nelly (Michle Morgan). The budding relationship, however, faced threats in the form of her overbearing, unsavory guardian (Michel Simon) and her ex-boyfriend’s hood crony (Pierre Brasseur).
