The Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) performed valuable deep penetration reconnaissance duties in addition to guiding the SAS to raids. The LRDG were not unknown to take part in raids themselves.
This converted Chevrolet 30 cwt truck is ideal to act as a field ambulance and although unarmed to the naked eye, who knows what hidden weaponry resides under the canopy to surprise the unwary Germans or Italians?
