Description
Inspired by true events in early 90s Cuba, Los Frikis is a powerful coming-of-age story centering around Gustavo who idolizes his older brother Paco & his punk bandmates. As oppression & extreme poverty rises, the Frikis take a desperate & defiant stand, intentionally injecting HIV to gain refuge in a government-run sanatorium. There they create their own utopia of rock ‘n’ roll, joy, and freedom.
