‘River Deep – Mountain High’ is the legendary album from Ike & Tina Turner produced by Phil Spector with his famous Wall Of Sound. The title song expresses an overwhelming devotion, with a love that is deeper than any river and higher than any mountain. The album was recorded with the crme de la crme of session musicians like Jack Nitzsche, Leon Russell, Jim Horn, Glen Campbell, Darlene Love and Clydie “Brown Sugar” King. “River Deep – Mountain High” flopped in America, but was a big hit in the UK and they drew the attention with their Ike & Tina Turner Revue and were offered a spot as opening act for The Rolling Stones on their 1966 UK tour. The album spawned six singles with the hits “A Fool In Love,” “I Idolize You” and “It’s Gonna Work Out Fine.”
