Description

Decebalus,or “The Brave”, was a king ofDaciaand is famous for fighting three wars and negotiating two interregnums of peacewithout being eliminated against theRoman Empireunder two emperors. In the short peace granted by Trajan, Decebalus continued to act as an independent king, rather than a conquered client and repeatedly annoyed or infuriated the Romans.

Consequently, the Legions under Trajan’s orders went on the offensive again in 105 AD, reducing the Dacian capitalSarmizegetusain 106. After that, Decebalus committed suicide rather than be humiliated and exhibited in Rome. However even slashing his throat was not enough for the Romans to leave him be and a Roman Cavalry Scout, Tiberius Claudius Maximus, captured him as he was dying and his head and right hand were taken to Rome to be thrown down the Gemonian Stairs.

Warlords Decebalus is sculpted commanding his troops in his armour and heavy shield. His shaman advisor is close to hand, clutching his staff against the wind.

Models come supplied unassembled and unpainted
