The San Franciscan songwriting duo Girls imparted a massive sonic shift on their last 2010 EP, Broken Dreams Club, before breaking up in 2012. The band emerged with a more massive, lusher sound with horns, pedal steel and psychedelic effects throughout. Upon it’s release, Christopher Owens described the exuberant six songs as a “letter of intent,” “snapshot of the horizon” and “step up” from it’s stunning predecessor Album.
