In 1974, Second Time Round firmly planted the band in the ears of an adoring US audience with stunning singles “Crayshaw,” “Fug” and “Genvieve.” Their self-titled debut was the first UK soul album to land on the Billboard 200 chart, and Second Time Round placed them back on the US charts. And, in another first while touring in support of this album, they became the first British band to ever headline the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem.
